Crooked teeth? Let's talk about your child's feet.

Crooked teeth? Let's talk about your child's feet.

Sounds a bit crazy, right? What could feet possibly have to do with teeth?

Well, our bodies don't work in separate pieces. Everything is connected, from the ground up.

Ever gone to see a massage therapist about a sore neck, only for them to start working on your hips or back? There's a reason for that. Sometimes where we feel discomfort isn't where the problem started.

Our feet are the foundation of our bodies. They support us, help us balance and play an important role in how we move.

And yet, when our babies take their very first steps, what do we often put on those little feet?

Stiff soles. Narrow toe boxes. Shoes that barely bend.

We wouldn't put our children's hands in stiff gloves all day and expect their fingers to develop strength and coordination naturally.
So why do we do it to their feet?

Little feet are still developing.
They need room for toes to spread, muscles to work and balance to develop through movement and play.

Being barefoot is wonderful for that.

But when shoes are needed, barefoot shoes are designed to interfere as little as possible with natural foot movement.

That's why I started Bearfoot Tribe Co.

As a mum, I was tired of seeing stiff, restrictive children's shoes everywhere. I wanted something different.

Soft, genuine leather. Wide toe boxes. Thin, flexible soles. Shoes that let little feet move naturally while offering protection for everyday adventures.

Handmade in Europe, our barefoot shoes come in sizes EU18–29, because flexible footwear shouldn't stop once those first steps turn into running, climbing and wild adventures.

Our mission is simple: get kids barefoot as much as possible, and when shoes are needed, make sure those little feet still have room to be feet.

Stay wild.  Stay free.
